If I say I've lost all hope in this world, will it make me look like a loser? I can't seem to care abt the things that I am suppose to care for or about. I skew my honest feelings everytime cause I'm afraid I'll turn vulnerable.

Does it make me a bad person when I do things without thinking about how my actions might affect the people around me? This heart is slowly turning into stone; can't feel anything or maybe I refuse to feel anything.

I am aware that I am running away and you would probably say "running away wont do you any good" but should I give this attitude up when it is actually making me stronger and lighter? It is easier to care for just that moment then to care for something or someone all the time.

God bless the monkeys. I think their music grows to be more mature as they grow to be more wiser. Nice song, although Turner doesn't sing much in it. This song sounds alil blue-rockish category, so have to pay attention more to the playing of the instruments esp the guitars. Sweet stuff. Their fourth album, "Suck It and See" will be out in June 6th, 2011. Well, Turner himself is also doing a solo project; soundtrack for the movie "Submarine".

I hope both albums will be great.

okay..I know i broke my promise to update about the inaugural 'Laneway' festival or now it seemed to have been known as 'Rainway'. It was a day to celebrate the aptitudinal of indie music and hey! it's the first indie festival in Singapore! How could you miss those tons of fun!

Btw, when you are reading this, always have this thought in mind that the weather wasnt on our side. Nonetheless, we were totally dancing in the rain and splashing mud.

One sure thing that you shouldnt do during an indie festival is NEVER ARRIVE LATE, THINKING THAT THE SHOW WILL NOT START ON TIME 'cause it fuckin did start on time! I couldnt wait for my friend's arrival and told him that I would meet him inside because Warpaint was already playing! I missed Bees and Undertow.. :( But i managed to catch Elephants and there it ended. Smoke break for everyone and for me, I was pestering my friend where is he at, as it was Ladyhawke soon after and he missed the awesome Kiwi lady.. I'd say Ladyhawke had successfully let us rock the muddy dancefloor hard. I totally adore her.

Beach house was next and Zebra was simply good. They had props to lighten up the stage! A for effort! and deerhunter, the self-proclaimed ambient-punk did a good job too but I got a shock when I saw the vocalist/guitarist. He is soooooo aneroxic! Should have googled him earlier to give myself a warning sign.

HOLY FUCK!! It was the icing on the the cake! You get the picture.. I caught myself dancing the hardest to their stuff.. No singing just sound. Ah-may-zing~

Chk Chk Chk (!!!) was entertaining with Nic having just shorts(not something new) with 'I love Singapore t-shirt'! You go man! Indeed, he awed the crowed.

By yeasayer, we were too hungry. So we skipped the fun there and went to eat. And then it was foals! I had gone mental. They were wicked awesome although most agreed that it felt short. And Yannis was short too. Haha. A known fact.

Temper Trap... the headliner.. It wasnt tooooo great but hey! its ZE TEMPER TRAP.

I was surprised that I wasnt sick the next day. There you go!

I'm loving this movie. It gave me peace somehow or rather. It enlightened me with many things that I wish the world could change its mind about some stuff and understand that there are always two sides to a story. Also, I always wish that people will start looking into more than just beauty.

I feel a whole lotta weight has been lifted off my shoulders. Am I green when I see my girlfriends has a boyfriend, met someone new and is happy or even knowing that she is every men's dream?Yes. I admit I am alittle and yes, I was bothered by it. But one sure thing I know about myself, I don't jump the gun if I can't see the whole big picture. I wouldn't buy a 'diamond' if I can't afford it. You know the saying goes "show me the money then we talk"... i am sooomeeething like that. So my point here is, Saturday.. when all the single people reunite, I felt the sub-concious wall that I have built years and years has finally collapsed and I could finally see ahead. I am only 21(coming 22, muahahaha). I am an attractive dreamer, who have yet to see half of the world and who's life is not yet crafted finish. And my beliefs are worth holding on to. It was peer pressure. I have always been a person who takes my surroundings seriously and that, I am still hesitant to forsake.

D'you know what I mean? No? Well, what i am trying to say is simply, I appreciate my last Saturday. Great company who made me feel I am actually normal. No prejudice. Just having fun laughing at anything and everything we can. I feel myself.

My prespective of life and growing up seem to be entirely wrong. I grew up thinking that adults are the most wise living creature and as u grow older u will be wiser. Sadly, it dosent seem that way at all. Now i grow fearful of growing up. I was baffled when I witnessed a fight between 2 mid aged man, cursing and swearing one another in public. This is not the way to set examples for the young ones. I wish the world cud be more decent.

I refuse to be reminded by whatever that had happened in my past. I trembled everytime that whole image starts running inside my head. It fuckin hurt. It feels like it's more painful then having a knife being thrust through your heart (and at least that, you'd die right away). I've bit the bullet and moved on. So i don't wish to talk about it much. I am holding up fine right now and i wish for things to remain as it is this moment.

Things seem to be moving speed of light fast. Work is getting to me and its exhausting. I miss those school times where you have a heap full of holidays to enjoy. But all in all, im pretty much content with my current job. I hope to stay for a few more years there before exploring something new. Good luck me!

Love is still not on my side. It was fun trying and taking the risk for a bit there but hey! I can't force love. So it's fair. He was just being nice to me. Well 'love', I'll still wait here patiently for 'you' to come. Probably when i least expected it.

A kind friend of mine actually gave me a complimentary ticket to Sheila on 7 concert. I was reminded by how crazy insane i was with Sheila on 7 back then. The days where you had to decorate you table and i filled the whole table with SO7 cut outs! I even recorded their shows on TV and played it over and over and over, too much times till the VCR was spoilt. And thanks to them too that i was inspired and decided to pick up playing guitar. It was nice to re-live those days. They played most of their old songs and i'm surprised that i cud remember still! They put up a splendid performance. It was amazing.

Mr Jones and the boys sure gave a splendid show. Living the rock and roll of the jumpin', shakin', head-bangin' and throwin' of your hands up in the air was totally a highway to "heaven". The wait was unruly long but it paid off.

Who could have expected that i would actually rushed my way down to sistic and grab a ticket to catch Paramore live 3 hours before the concert started kickin. However, only to get myself disappointed alittle. It was last week, 7th march was the concert. Paramore played well, no doubt but the organiser kinda suck. I didnt even know Hayley was wearing a leopard print pants until the publication pictures were out. It's like watching mini paramore cause there wern't any side screens to help the cheapo people like me to enjoy the concert extra up a notch. AND! paramore only performed 14 songs for about an hour.

Nonetheless, kudos to paramore for the rockin performance. Love "pressure" most. I wish they'd play "when it rains". but the encore songs sure made an impactful closing. ;)

Midas production, you can do better, really.

'he' wasn't my major hurt but it does hurt alittle to miss a person who dosen't know.
So, yesterday, when I wanted to share my little joy then I realise I was pretty much alone.
as much as this itchy fingers wanted to share it with him, it will not do any good for me later.
and today wasnt my luck either as after an exhausting day at work and thinking of unwinding, I didnt noe who to call? so i went back home.

(i guess you are just nice. you will be nice to anyone with that sorrow smile of yours. as much as i do not want that mental image of yours in my head to fade away......i donno how to continue...... but rest assured, i didnt regret or thinking it was a mistake to blame on what I have done. I'm actually greatful I did it. At least now i know?)

Did anybody mentioned that The XX put up a splendid performance? Dreamy songs are heaven to my ears fer now. I caught myself in a daze for a moment when XX was playing. Crystalized will be the hit but I simply love Infinity to infinite. Not to mention, Florence and the Machine was fantabulous too! Welch just know how to work with the crowd despite her tipsy self! She sure had made an impactful performance. There are some points when you try to shut the singing and just listen to the machines playing, they sounded post-rocky. Pretty neat.

Punchline. Both were really good and come to think, spending $80 for these 2 big names aren't really painful. $80 was just nice~

And a helluva thank you for the one and only badge! yes! only a few has this!

my 21st b'day bash has officially started today!
I was drenched by not only my own perspiration, but a gazzilion others!
muse was fuckin' wild! wooooohoooo! saosin! saosin! saosin! hahaha.
It was wicked! I was outta ma mind according to mya(in a good way) and sydan(in a bad way)!
we got ready our vans, converse, gola and whatever other moshing shoes even sanuk and we've rocked out hard!

How shall i start. Or rather where shall i start. We queued under the scorching hot sun at 3pm and we only got to feel the cool air-con breeze close to 7pm with a scarcity of water the most. Opening band was Saosin! I only heard a few of their songs but it's not the kind where i'll include it in my mp3. But they sure initiated the supermassive mosh-pit-hole. According to my brother(i gave him a last minute surprise. Free for him @ Pen A), he said the lead singer was bringin some attitude perhaps the upset was due to time constrain and they can't play much. Well, attitude or not, I sure enjoyed THIS mature correct crowd of mosh-ers.

Then i was ready to watch and sing along to some of rise against songs but to no avail. I was squashed, pushed, feeling random people's sweat bombed my naked skin, and so i pushed them back and my aim was to reached the front and go infront of a whole lot of tall-dudes barrier and we almost made it until we waited for muse and i wasnt or i believe maya wasnt too in a comfy position. So we decided to back out and go to the side. Massively CLEAR VIEW with the gigantic screen right smack infront of us and adequate space for us to rock our smelly and sweaty socks. And mind you that at this moment 3 of us were all soaked and already feeling the exhaustion and after 5 hrs of still lack of water and no dinner, but we're here mainly for MUSE! So we refuse to give in to our bodies and still push it to its limit!

The moment the whole SIS saw the digital backdrop started to let the inceccent digital silhoutte man climbing up the digital stairs and as the lights were dimmed and eventually shut, that's where the crowd ballooneyly gone wild! Uprising was first! all eventually regained their energy.

Hell yeah it sure was a BIG NIGHT OUT and the $161 was totally well spent on! Now i'm wondering how many years will it take for me to get over this gig/concert cause to be honest, i'm pretty much not over Coldplay's and Oasis which was held last year.

even at my raw age, i've always imagine my mom and dad to grow up to be like them.

nagging about shuffling of feet and not lifting. walking down the streets in tinny winny steps. going through another dating phase with each other cause their kids are all grown up. but i guess we don't direct our life. we are only give choices.

i only yarn for a simple family. a simple life with the usual matters to handle. i wanna taste the world with an ease in my heart. i wanna be able to love my friends and laugh with them without having someone to keep poisoning my mind that they arent forever or they're only there when your wheels are right at the top. i wanna be able to love a man purely and not having the thought of "all men are bastards" flying in my head. i wanna be able to repay both my parents with what i can afford and not what you want me to provide you. i just want to live my life the way i want it to be. it will be soo much easier if he's dead. then we all shall be sad for his absence and not cursing, swearing, blaming one another for what's happening.

Why do humans choose to live sucha life. Why the never-ending discontentment. Something that no one man can understand i suppose.

Am I doing the right thing?

hello world!

how's 2010 so far for you? me? i'm still clutching tight my well hopes and wishes for it. 2009 passes by like a bullet train fast i feel and it was a bittersweet year on mua side. i guess i had a fair share of growing up moments in 2009. 2010? believe it or not, i'm pretty much looking forward to this last year's 'plus one' to another dacade year. I am aspire to achieve things that are beyond my usuals which i've yet to figure what but i know i want it badly. what could it be? learn how to cook asam pedas ikan pari pekat pekat khaw khaw punya? or fulfil my seniman jalanan dreams? or stop spending my money on cut throat concert tickets?(haha! that will take more than a concrete barrier before i'd break it) gawdd...HE sure is very mysterious. i'll wait patiently still. at least, I had a jawsome new year's eve and the days after had been alright.

for others, if your feelin' like your down in the dump road this very green 2010, don't let the it dragggggg...... I'm no god but i'd say it will get better if you want it to be better. think of the greatful thoughts then maybe you'd realise it's actually not always bad. there are more to just worrying. time to get your hands dirty, let the heart pumping and feel the blood gushing! (okay~ reality check! this only happens when you are running/jogging. in life? i can only say "no assurance." nonetheless! embrace the new year! "make a better place, for you and for me")

i know its pretty much outdated but i think i still wanna blog about baybeats.

baybeats was my cheapo music entertaiment time. Estranged and GSE sure had gave me the ephinephrine. "watch out for the nasty mosh pit" "GSE songs are not a mosh pit moment kinda songs. you are suppose to dance to it or jump ~~but these kiddos tersalah arah~~" "okay~"

unnecessary obnoxious comment. tak perlu~

and true enough. i was standing beside these group of deranged kiddos, asking his friend "kau! lembik! nak masok per!" "ahh..oryt arh *and he starts unbuttoning and starts folding his sleeves of his orbit checkered a7x shirt with zip pockets and metal chain*" me? i was controling my laughter standing beside them. i know i sounded mean but i think its just funny the fact that they dont even know who the hell these bands are and start screaming and shouting nonsense which was affecting my senses. i feel like putting the sock in the noisy mouths. "sing if u know the lyrics. shut up and just listen if you dont know," and they wanna join the crowd just to push, kick and punch random people? let me just enjoy the performance pleaseee~

~~despite that,~~ i'm ~~still~~ glad i came down on that friday although i didnt manage to catch anberlin on sunday(which i heard it was a blast), think i'm satisfied with friday's cause it's pretty psychedelic.

then on thurs there's the buke cum picnic day with the geng. it was simple but i dont really enjoy the seperated part. food of the day - pizza and arnolds for the six of us at marina barrage. and marina barrage will mean fly kite. then my kite got tangled and snapped.

From this part onwards, i was rattling utter nonsense~ so don't bother~ *sheesh*

it was hard to fly at first cause the wind wasnt blowing in one consistant direction. bloody wind~ but when my tioman kite was flying viciously and wanting to go higher and higher, it just had to get tangled with the ariel/metal rod thing. after trying with all my might, i had no choice but to let it go. devestated i was looking at it, swaying from left to right 'plesantly' and in the background i heard,

"its probably gonna land at singapore river"

oh well~ then there was the police checking of our I/Cs where while the 2 dudes were scrutinising our pink cards, we just continued with whatever agendas we were on before. "spot check untuk ape? i thought spot check must check bags. check for handphones" ;) "okay, nur farhana" i was pretty in shocked when he called my name.

They totally evolve from whatever people say i am thats what im not to favourite worse nightmare and now the third, humbug. i really cant wait to hear the whole HUMBUG. ALWAYS fantabulous with their different scales/notes for all the different instruments. Matt Helders seriously needs to be given credits for his flying hands and stomping legs of energy on the drums. KUDOS AM!! i have wished upon the lotsa shooting stars i saw at tioman for you guys to come to singapore and perform at Singapore Indoor NOT Fort Canning! nyahaha.

btw, on the downer note, Yasmin Ahmad, the director of Sepet, Gubra, Mukhsin (these are the well known ones from her), had passed away. I was kinda shocked when i heard it while washing the dishes and i didnt wanna think that she had died, instead i thought "okay, finally they are giving her some credits" until i went out and take a peek at the tv just to see a scene at the kubor.

"aunty got waterproof bag?" "go to shop number 201. its behind there." in my head i was going yessar! so, "aunty got sell waterproof bag? flat transparent" "there...alot of bags.. this one??" "no aunty waterproof bag..transparent..put passport.." "torchlight?" and she showed all other stuffs which definately dosent look like a bag at all.. "and we reached to the lady who told us about the 201 shop again. "dont have ahh? you go downstairs. under the block" "err...rowh...i dont trust this lady already ahh...muke jer confident tapi nanti pegi tak der" muahaha! but finally we reached to this shop round the corner where the aunty was closing her deal with this dude, "thank you handsome". then we asked, "aunty, got sell waterproof bag. flat. transparent. put passport." rowh said. then aunty goes nodding. i was very anxious and i explained the exact same words rowh had asked. i dont wana get disappointed after asking almost all the shops there.
